
It prides itself as being a community band contributing to many local events, civil functions and services. The HTCB has been established for over 135 years. The band plays at the church three times a year and regularly in the town for concerts and community events, as well as on the district’s bandstands. SUNDAY 17TH- FAVARSHAM MISSION BRASS BANDįaversham Mission Brass is a non-contesting brass band and over the years, the band has become more of a town band than a church band, although the band is still connected to Faversham Gospel Mission.

SATURDAY 16TH- CHARIVARI (CHAMBERS EVENT) Membership is open to musicians from all areas of the local community, not exclusively to scouts.Ī local community band for adults with the aim of enjoying making music as well as raising money for charity. We are a friendly group and new members are always welcome. Regular concerts are given in the local area, presenting a wide variety of popular music performed with style. Is Canterbury District’s longest established brass band, 2019 being our centenary year. Band members range from beginner level upwards, are aged 8-21, and drawn from the south-east Kent area around Folkestone. Our Training Band offers an opportunity for less experienced players to develop their skills.Īn exciting and affordable youth project that is bringing Brass Band music to a younger generation, plus many more benefits to those taking part. With a busy schedule of performances at different venues across the region, the repertoire ranges from original works for wind ensemble to arrangements of orchestral pieces, military band items and light music of various styles. The Sevenoaks and Tonbridge Concert Band is a symphonic wind band. SUNDAY 26TH- SEVENOAKS & TONBRIDGE CONCERT BAND The line-up also consists of the talented Chris Kennedy on Piano, Darren Reynolds on Double Bass, Mark Stitson on Drums and Nick Brown on Saxophone.

They are fronted by Benjamin Lock a charismatic and smooth sounding jazz singer from Kent with experience of performing all over the UK at top venues and clubs. Play a great selection of tracks from the 40’s and 50’s, made famous by artists such as Frank Sinatra, Sammie Davis Junior, Dean Martin and Tony Bennett (and more recently Michael Buble, Robbie Williams and Jamie Cullum). It has performed in front of the Royal Family, including the Queen, and a few years ago at No.10 Downing Street for the Police Bravery Awards. Kent Police Band was formed in 1977 by serving Police Officers. First established in 1880, Gravesend Borough band is proud of its local roots, its history and its long standing association with Gravesham Borough Council. It comprises two ensembles each of around 30 amateur players of all ages. Gravesend Borough Band is a community concert band based in Gravesend in Kent. SUNDAY 12th- GRAVESEND BOROUGH BAND & WILLIAM HARVEY SUNDAY We like to have fun wherever we go and in our own unique way we make sure that we get people dancing & having fun, providing an unforgettable experience for all. The band’s repertoire includes rock and blues songs made famous by such artistes as the Rolling Stones, Status Quo, Clapton, Bryan Adams, Hendrix, and Beatles. Not your average Rock Band – we put on a show delivering classic tunes with an element of fun. If you love music, you’ll love ‘Something Else’ with their unique interpretation of classic hits from the golden era, with the accent on music you can really dance to. Playing all that great music from the 1950’s and 60’s with a modern rockin feel.
